Ok...

I have a Hifonics Titan "TX-1505d" Mono-Block Amp

(500w rms @ 4 ohm, 1000w rms @ 2 ohm, 1500w rms @ 1 ohm)

I want two (2) Alpine 12" Type R's..

So they are rated @ 500w rms each, so if I got 2 of these should I get dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm voice coils?

Let's say I get 2 of the dual 4 ohm and wire them series/parallel, it would be a 4 ohm load, so my amp WOULD be running 500w rms. Would that be 500w rms to each, or 250 to each?

Let's say I get 2 of the dual 2 ohm and wire them series/parallel, it would be a 2 ohm load, so my amp WOULD be running 1000w rms. Would that be 1000w rms to each, or 500w to each?

Thank you very much in advance... :-)

get dual 4 ohm and wire parallel so its @ 1 ohm. that amp is a wee bit overrated so im guessiong about 1300 rms ur subs will actually be recieving. type r's can handle that much power. its 1300/2 so 650 to each not 1300 to each in this case. good luck dont hesitate if u have more questions. we all can help

Agreed, 1300 will be enough to move them and not think that they need more power.
On the flipside..
At least you will never need a hearing aid to use a forum :-)
