this is what i do. after i install the sub, i play it at low volume for the first 1-2 minutes. that is just to see if i made all the connections okay. after i see that it works well, i let it rip.
hey if the sub blows cause its too new then that sub sux to begin with.
the real definition of breaking in a sub is using it and slowly it gets looser and louder.. so pretty much its nothing you have to worry about .. just something to look forward to
I have a sub waiting on another member here that is as stiff as the day I got it. I never slammed it though so he really is getting as close to new as you can get. That lucky azz.
