Ok well i emailed DJ about a new design for my HD3 this is what he said

"Using the exterior dimensions of 45" wide by 24" tall and 12" depth at
the top of the box and 15" depth at the bottom of the box you gross
volume would be 3.67 cubes before displacements and 3 cubes net after
sub and port displacements which is a little on the small end for the
HD315 but would work well in your truck.

Place the port as in your drawing. Make the port 2.25 inches wide and
22.5 inches tall. Make the port 18 inches long and it will tune your box
to about 38 Hz which will give you very good sql and also very loud.

dj"

I just dont know what size to cut all the peices. Can someone draw that design up and make a cut list for me so i can go to Home Depot tomorrow and start this box?

Didnt that dude claim that box with those dimensions was like 8.5 cubes? I did the math on it and came out with like 3.5 or so... I was gonna say something..... Well I guess I did. Lol

Thanks Marc but im still confused. I think you may have messed up with the F end panel 15x15.75 would make that end longer than the box. And what do you mean scribe the angles? Do i put the front peice on last? Im really confused.

Corrections,
F = 22.5 x 15.75

Also That angled panel needs to be recalculated using this formula.
C = A Squared + B Squared = C Squared
C = (3 x 3 ) + ( 22.5 X 22.5 ) = C squared
C = Square root of that = C length x 45

Huh?? 22.5.x15.75 the bottom part of that,15.75 will be longer than the bottom of the box and thats the side were i need the port. Shouldnt it be like 11.75x22.5?

TWiZTiD ,

Those deminsions dont give you anywhere near 3cuft net...its more like 6cuft net.

What vehicle do you have? I'll design you a box.

Try this:

45" wide, 20" tall....15" top, 12" bottom.

Upload

Port 18.5" x 3.5"....20" long
(Cut for the port will be 18.5" x 19.25")

It will be ~4.25cuft net tuned to ~38hz.

also, have the port firing into the drivers side wall.

Sub can be centered on the box.

Some of the dimension got cut off in the pic for some reason. How much would you charge to build the box or maybe just cut the peices i need and ship them to me?
