So like the name says. What are the best 2 12" subs that would total around 1000rms? Something that hit hard and still sounds nice.

What amp are you using? Look at the Rd Audio Classic 12's or SI BM 12's. Email me for help.

SI BM's, SoundSplinter RL-p 12s, Fi SSD 12's, Mach5Audio MAW-12's, Crystal CMP's etc. But it all depends on the amp you choose.

Sony Xplodes worked well for me. I was too poor to buy anything else.

Sony Xplodes are garbage. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone in any circumstance.

You don't need 2 subs. Try listening to JL 12W7 in a HO box.

no man, if you get 2 sony xplodes, say about 10", that will beat a 12w7 easily. My friend went to a competition and he got first place with his sony's, and he got them for $40 total for both, and the box was free. Trust me man, Sony Xplodes > all (for the price)

Trust me, ask the guys at wal-mart, they are very educated about car audio and will help to assist you in the best ways possible. I bought my Xplodes there, and I love them! They get extremely loud and have better sound quality than the JL W7. Trust me when I say this, you will not regret it!

If someone could recommend some good subs 12" for two for around 300 bucks and a good amp for maybe 200 that would power them that would be great! lol as for all this racism. NO racism in my thread!!! any suggestions are welcome!

2 Type R's if you are looking for SPL, not only do these subs really excel when it comes to SPL, they do so while maintaining excellent SQ. I never had any problems with my Type R's when it came to SQ. Good luck!

james you said they can handle more than 1000rms a piece? is that right? or 1000rms total...? but I think I have heard type R's before and i dunno if i was impressed. but then again... i don't remember if i heard them or not so... lol so just forget that last statement...anyone else can recommend a good sub or subs around 1000rms total for about $300 bucks? what about the Fi SSD? someone said that... or any other suggestions. thanks

be different and get something other than r's. i'd try the pair of classics, that is an incredible price for them, especially since they're new from a dealer.

ya i didn't really want the R's... how do the classics sound? they loud and hit hard? I want something that is real loud... but hits real hard too ya know SQL... not just spl for sure.
