hey fellas so what would power two 12 alpine type r's real nicely? combined with a crossover and 4 gauge wire? The two subs are also in a double enclosed sealed box. with each sub being seperated.

they are the alpine type r 12" dual voice 2ohm subs and my budget is from 200 to 260ish.

hello guys has anyone heard anything about the amp that juliob posted the price looks good how is the quality? is it a juice sucker like my kenwood amp........does it have as many features? what is the quality of the amp?

JBL amps are good. Most of the amps that low-hz carries are good also.

hey M.S. so i followed the instructions with that link that you gave me but it still isnt giving me the right numbers I have the gain and the bass boost all the way down and i am still getting above the 41.2 that i am suppose to get

WHat gives?

What freq. test tone are you using? Did you turn off all settings on the HU? I'm betting you forgot something.

And what numbers did you put into the calculator.

yes i turned off all of those settings on the head unit......it doesnt have many as it is i have the alpine head unit that has the ipod interface on it...i dont remember the exact number but it came out early last year. i put the rms numbers in the calculator and i used two omhs because that is what the subs are wired to see. now the lower the ohms the more power right? and the subs dont seem like they are playing very hard at all.
