ok I am getting my subs soon and need to know what I am gettin, its either a 12" RE SE, or a 12" RD classic, this is going to be a sq setup with 1000rms goin through it, and is going to be in a sealed box, so let the votes come in, thank you

RE is more of a SPL sub. Im not too familiar with RD, but im sure its more SQ oriented than RE

I heard sound splinters stuff is poor quality, and I have considered the MAG but I want the new one and I dont want to wait, but if it comes out soon then it will be a contender

" I heard sound splinters stuff is poor quality "

You heard wrong

For an SQ system with 1000 watts I would recommend a Fi Q.....

you could get a single 12" idmax for that ($459 bnib from dealer actually). you wont be dissappointed. also for $10 more you can get a pair of 12" rl-ps' shipped at www.soundsolutionsaudio.com.

There's really no need for more than 1 sub in an SQ system.......

You could put one 12" or 15" in the same space as the two 10s and it would be better on the very low end......

wouldnt low end be for like rap and hip hop, rather high end being for rock

No that's not neccesarily true. You will get some real low notes in rock and rap. My suggestion would be to get one sub. It will allow you to get an amazing sub, not to mention save plenty of money on power. There is no need for two subs if you are going for a SQ system. Just my 2 cents.

W6 would be the "winner" for SQ, but it can't take 1000 watts. If you want to run that power I would choose the Q.

like I said if I chose to do 2 10"s I would run it off of a 1000rms amp, can they take 500rms a piece, all I am looking for is a decent bump and great sq, I am looking to top 125-130 DB's, I dont want it to be super loud

w6 hands down, very very nice sq driver. idk if JL makes HO boxes for the w6 but if they do get them, HO boxes are very nice, and im sure you'll be pleased with the spl results.

yeah I think my final choices are the RE SE, or the JL w6, on a 1000rms amp,
