when im pushing my woofers it feels like airflow isnt making its way into the cabin as well as it should. take a look at my hatchback SUV and tell me what kind of port placement u think would work best for me.

well i've heard that when the port is pretty close to door or window or something that it will affect tuning. also i think your ports firing upward and maybe subs facing hatch wouldnt do any hard. thats my guess though

subs to the side and port back, or sub up and port back. Your going to do a slot port on your next box?

^^ Yes you will feel more. if you have a gap between your box and car panels. But with his box, his box fits in pretty tight. So I'm not sure if that would affect anything. Although I do notice a difference in my vehicle.

Are you trying to use the same box? ? I had my dual 15" box tuned to 40hz 12cu net. and about 4 inchs from rear i think about 110~ port area for each port (2 of them) across the bottom of the box... and it got low as fu<k for 40hz.. so port distance from rear does change it.. the closer it is the lower it will tune it in most cases, the further.... well the further it is the better the box is to hitting its actuall tuning..

What is that box tuned to? With the ports being that small and only being 3inchs from rear i dont think it would affect tuning to much maybe 1-2hz lower... i would try adding more port area first.. its in a pretty good place, but if you could i would try to slide the box up so its 4-5inchs from rear atleast.
