Will it hurt to set crossover to 200 hz???

i got 2 10s in a sealed box....will it hurt anything to set them to play in the larger frequency area 0-200hz as opposed to 0-80hz

I'm not even sure if your sub would be even able to play that high. thats what midbass drivers are for.

well my speakers are blown in any bass mid to low....im getting new ones but until then would it hurt to have the subs at 200hz?

No it won't hurt anything. 10's should be able to reproduce up to and above 200hz no problem anyway.

Itll work fine if the speakers dont like to roll off earlier naturally. But, it will definitely screw up your sound stage and let you know you have subs in the back playing as opposed to blending in up front. Id rather live with the hole in midbass than constantly have my image shift front to back when notes in the 80-200Hz region play.

alright well thanks for the feedback and i guess ill just find out what i like best until....lets see monday i think is when the speakers should arrive.
