Port a box

Can you port a box for any sub even if it is not recommended because my homeboy was thinking about doing it but his subs are only for sealed enclosure and he didn't want to f u c k up his box so he wanted to know if you was to port a box would that hurt the SQ and SPL any ?

more than likely lose sq and gain spl.. what kind of sub is it? brand model #

You will get more SPL and possibly lose some SQ depending on how you tune it.

What sub is this that is "only for sealed"?

Do what the manufacturer recommends. If the speaker is designed only for a sealed box, it will likely not perform in a ported.

it's the same sub I have the Kicker SOlO S15D recommended enclosure is 1.5cuft with 50% polyfill


*Will trade mines for a decent amp or sub
