I wouldn't say an alpha would TAKE OUT a fully loaded BTL. Nobody could say that, simply because it is SO install dependent.

But the new alphas do get extremely loud, and they have very good sound quality as well. So you can't go wrong there.

Same box? What sub was the box built for??? Its very install dependant. With the Alpha in a box that is built for it, it will shine like no other.

The Alpha Tears the BL a new as$hole.

To set things clear, it was not said it would take a fully loaded BTL. I'm sorry, but the Super Heavyweight with 4 inch coil would DESTROY the BTL. Fi makes great products for sure, but one line I don't like and does not impress me is the BTL. But thats my opinion.

" im sorry. but the super heavyweight with the 4 inch coil would DESTROY the BTL."

i said that already i wasnt comparing them, im just saying imho the btl will get louder but the alpa i heard gets loud and has super sq. btw if the btl doesnt impress you alot of subs prob dont. everyone has different tastes some like sq some like spl or sql , but all 3 of those are different sq could sound different from me to you, its all preferences both great drivers

Ya, I know it. The only thing that worries me on the BTL is the tinsel lead slapping problem. The "fix" for it was a piece of cloth on the spyder from what I heard. I know a couple guys who are having that problem too, and they know what they are doing as well.

Dear Kevin,

Does your big mouth ever stop flapping? Your lack of professionalism is ridiculous. You have neither practical nor theoretical knowledge of any sort.

Not sure if you think that you are earning sales by slandering other companies, but most of the internet is laughing at you right now. At least Ben was headed in the right direction by not making outlandish and negative comments about another company's product.

Honestly, change your practices before it's too late.

Well if you look at that review it sayd 2 things... 1 the alpha is A LOT more efficient than the BTL. the alpha was burped with 1800 watts compared to the BTl being burped with over 6,400. That being said, in the review the alpah was said to get hot and mechanically limited with said 1800 watts, and it's rated at 2000. It kinda makes you wonder. Anyways, after my babbling, I would take the BTL just because of price, and since the sub was Logan's it was probably abused in many different ways, haha.

hxc audio, my mouth doesn't flap while typing. Next, what did I say that was un-true? Slandering is a false statement FYI. Before you try to attack someone, know what you are talking about. I am not 'bashing' another product. I was speaking the problem with the product. You might as well go back to the forum you came from.

Our older Alphas in the proper box would take 2000 daily, but I do agree they should have been rated at 1500 rms for the "safe" factor. The test was not against a fully loaded BTL.

The new Alpha, yes. When the new one was tested, at 3000 rms for an hour she started to get warm. They will still be rated at 2000 rms though.

Rob, ONLY reason they compared the BTL and Alpha is because they had a BTL laying around and wanted to see how close they were, just for fun. Surprised us though.
