Well...this guy's HU kinda half way died on him. The speaker outputs fried, but the RCA's work.

We gave him a sh1tty Jensen "88w" amp to try and use just to drive his car's door speakers so he would at least be able to listen to music...The 2ch amp is smaller than the HU.

He used 14ga speaker wire for power wire and tapped into the stock wiring behind the HU.

Here is his install.

Enjoy.

LOL! Looks like the only thing he forgot was the "STEAL ME" sign

That deck would be gone by morning installed like that in San Diego or LA.

lol. well... my headunit is kind of ghetto, not that bad but still ghetto. i got an installation kit with it.. but i guess car audio + 91 olds cutlass = pain in the butt. it didn't fit snug.. soo i ust got some duct tape... made it sticky on both sides.. put it all around where headunit will go... through the headunit in there. works like a charm.. hehe bounces around a little. gets the job done. its only a deh480 soo i'm not all concerned.:-)

He should stick some LEDs around the sides. That would be sweet.

I have had amps sitting anywhere from the floorboards to the backseat. Before they had REAL subs we would put home speakers, think they were Fishers in the backseat, big ol 15 box! Believe it or not the sh!t was pretty loud and we would only run like 125W!I use to get stereos that were ripped out and had every wire cut hoping the schematic was on the back of it if not we were doing the touch/try method, fried many a stereo or channel doing this, ahahhah. Once you found the power you would start by setting the fader to chase down channels, good old days, better weed too, lol. Polo. :-O
