Which Way To Go

well install is next weekend i believe, which im pumped about, but i wanted to go and put my sub box into my trunk to see how it fits in still. go out and put it in and it fits nice and snug. but i have 2 options:
1. i can do sub and port shooting back which was the initial way i was gonna have. the only thing im worried about is i ony have about 2-3 inches between the sub and a piece of the trunk when i shut the hatch. is that clearance enough you think?
2. other option is i could have the sub and port shooting up to the roof. the box i made, ironically, fits nearly perfectly back there. i can fit the width of a quarter between both box corners which sit against the trunk. the top of the box sits flush with my back seat which looks kinda tight i must admit. the only problem i see with this set-up is the box sits snug against the trunk.

which way would you go?
i personally am thinking about going sub and port up cause im worried about the clearance of the trunk and sub if its shooting back.
let me get some feedback

I would say facing back, in a trunk that usually does better...and why aare you worried? If you have 2-3 inches, that should be plenty. I don't think subs move that much most of the time.

seal off your trunk port in, and subs to the back

cause i dont know if it really is 2-3 inches or if im making myself believe that number...its probably about 1 -2 inches, its in a spot where its awkward to measure it...if you put your middle and pointing finger togerher and look at that width, thats probably about the real distance.

and spl, i like the suggestion but i really dont feel like making a new box, but who knows

dude the way im interpreting it, you should stick with option 1, cause option 2 if its sitting flush, that would be good with the sub, (if you mean by flush u mean against the roof of the trunk))) but if you dont,, still sounds like option 1 to me

nah chase i worded it awkwardly i guess

the top of the box is sitting flush with the top of the back seat...optoin 2 is perfect for the sub and port, no interfeerencse at all. option 1 has the only potential problem.

ill try to draw a picture lol
