Usa Post Number: 273 Registered: Oct-06 | ok, so ive had my SD2.5 for a long time now. but i just have a feeling that it could get a little louder. i had it metered and im hittin 135's. isnt that good for one 12? i was impressed. but anyways, i have the sub and port facing the trunk right now. do u guys have any suggestions on a different box for more spl? i want to hit 136. lol. oh, the box is tuned to 40hz and its in the trunk of a pontiac grand prix. any suggestions? thanks in advance. |

Platinum Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 12563 Registered: Oct-05 | i don't know what it is tuned to but try tuning it higher. also if your backseat folds down then fire the sub and the port in to the cabin and seal the trunk. sealing is really important so do a good job of it. you should see some gain. |

Usa Post Number: 275 Registered: Oct-06 | yeah i got the box plans from him. he told me how to build it and what not. at the time i was building it, i decided to do what he recommended. he said to tune it to 40 to give it a lil more sq. to tune it to 45, all i have to do is pull this lil piece of mdf out and im set. ill try that and meter it again. thanks |

Gold Member Username: OlegSanta Monica, CA USA Post Number: 1258 Registered: Nov-04 | I have a probox and it is tuned to 45Hz, it's pretty loud. Depending on the car and the subs, you may be able to get louder by tuning even higher. The dude I saw had 2 RE MTs in a box tuned to 62Hz - 153.2 burp. |
