sorry im sure ppl hav asked that alot but also im just puttin together my first system and i plan on usin a site to get plans then building my own box but i dont kno how to decide what i want to tune my box to. are there rules to decide that or wut??thanx much

2.5 cubes for a 15" SSD? I have my 12" Q in 2.5. Id go more around 3.5 NET.

BTW, I hear that subwoofertools program is worthless.

Subwoofertools is fine it just kinda a pain in the @ss cause it makes the port based on the xmax so sometimes its way bigger than you really need.

Not to mention the plan you posted is for a 12". You didnt select 15".

Contact somebody like Mark Potts, Logan, or Pete from TTB and get your enclosure done right! It is the most important part of your system. Box calculators like subwoofertools.com aren't really that great.

alrite well im tryin to save as much money as i can so i figured id make it myself but do u think i should do 3.5cubes or sumthin different??also, how should i decide wut hz to tune it to?

3.5 cubes and 32hz should be good. But like I said, contact Logan and maybe he can give you some free advice.

alrite ya il consult some other people before i do anything but i dont kno now whether i should make a box on my own or whether i should pay to hav someone else make it.anyone know about how much a person would save buying the materials for a box and making it themselves?

Umm why not talk to the Fi guys directly, that will be your best source of info period.

i agree with matt on the size and tuning of the box. and for the making it part just try to do it your self.. get a sheet of 3/4 mdf and build it. but just do it carefully. and make sure all your calculations are right...
