You can scale back the port a little bit. We normally recommend 12-16 sqin of port per cuft of enclosure. With a fully loaded BTL, I would tend towards the higher side of that. At 44" of port you get into some odd peaks in the port itself in your passband. If you scaled the port back a little it would save some space as well as push the modes higher up and out of range.
