L7 for SPL...... but I would take the CVRs just because the build quality sucks so bad on the square subs

Get 2 12" Kicker CVX's, yea i said CVX, not CVR. CVX is 750rms each and the sub is compact and puts out quite a punch. U can't go wrong.

Dayum I thought everyone knew what Keeker was.

OK lemme rephrase... DO NOT BUY KICKER SUBS, they are a joke, they suck, they fail, and they have the SQ of two dinosaurs f!cking. And there are at least 20 better choices you could make.

Understand now?

Just get 2 Type R's. You won't be disappointed. Or 2 CVX's. CVX is a great sub from kicker. The CVR's and L5's are junk. Or if you are looking to get 1 15" sub, I would recommend a FI Q if your looking for SQ or a FI BL if your looking for SPL. They are affordable and are excellent! You would need a 1000watt amp to power either of those.

Knowing what ohm your amp is is the most crucial part. What is the make and model of it and maybe one of us can help. A FI Q and BI BL are only $279 shipped. I paid $231 shipped for 2 Alpine Type R's brand new, I could hook you up with that deal if your interested and that box too. Just let me know.

P.S. sorry for interrupting thread...my fault

i mean its hard to justify sayin 1 15 will be louder than 2 15's. but i can guarantee better sq and if u have nice box and enough power its def. possible to hit higher numbers. also smaller box and looks more impressive to have 1 sub hitting highass numbers. feel me :-)

If you avoid kickers completely and get 1 15, it will be affordable, but 2 15's will not be affordable. If you get 2 affordable 12" subs than you can find affordable, like those alpine I picked up for $231.00 shipped. If I were you, I would definitly get 2 12" Alpines, unless you can get 2 FI BL's, but thats about $600 just in subs, without a nice box. A nice box would be like $130.00 and then your $730 plus you would need a huge amp to power it, so if i were you TYPE R's ALL THE WAY!

or is he getting a new amp for them regardless?

Its just the box, and depending on his amp, when time comes to buy the subs he can either get the 2 ohm version or the 4 ohm version. A box is a box.
