What exactly is the budget? Are you looking to get subs and an amp? Need budget for each. 1 woofer or 2?

well 250 for 2 subs isnt much. you could get 2 12" SD2's for 260 shipped. I think they would be a bit better then the alpine. I have a 12" SD2 as a home sub and its nice but more of an SQ woofer. If you dont mind spending a little more you can get 2 12" SD2.5's for 320 shipped. Thats what i have and they are a very nice SQL sub. They get very loud and still have good sound quality. So like i said if you dont mind spending 320 ide get the SD2.5's otherwise the SD2.

Get 1 SD2.5 if you can't afford 2. That way you can upgrade later.
