yep, i'd get a zx1000.1, or 750.1 will do fine if you can't afford the power powerful one.

Hold up, Roger! Are you going to be using 2 subs? If so, you can't really buy any kicker amp except the kx1200.1, which is one ohm stable.
If you're just trying to use 1 sub, all you need is zx400.1.

well, the thread says 'subs' so i assume its 2, and since 4 ohm subs, yea Oleg is right, you dont have much room for options when it comes to kicker. the kx1200.1 being 1 ohm stable would be awesome, i just ordered one, but im wondering if its too much for those subs and if you will have all that extra power for nothing, someone correct me if im wrong

Also, if you were desperate to stick with kicker, a ZX850.2 may be something to consider. A GREAT price for a nice amp and a lot of power, but some may argue thats not your best option, considering its a 2 channel, but I had my kicker comps pushed by a ZX450.2, and they slammed as well. Its up to you.

I'd go with to zx400.1s! But with that budget you can easily afford these:

1. memphis 16-prd1000.1
2. orion hcca-d1200
3. PPI D2000/1
4. RF T10001BD - probably the best choice

If u bought the T10001BD, then I would suggest you getting better subs, either the Type R's or the CVX's, which SLAM!

so far ive had a lot of problems with this system im puttin together... been through 2 sets of subs, 2 amps.. and i just notice that the mounting depth in my box is just less than half an inch more than my actuall sub mounting depth...i wonder if this might be a problem for them as well... the thing with this ram 1500...it doesnt give me much room to play with as far as enclosures and sub boxes..and suggestions?

aren't there custom enclosures built specifically for your truck? The reason you've been through 2 amps and 2 subs is because you didn't learn about the basics of car audio before putting it together and playing with it. You really need to read the basics at www.bcae1.com and make sure you understand.

thanks..this will help alot!
but the box made for my truck is still very limited...seeing how i cant make it any deeper "unless i take my back seats out" is that a very serious problem? or is it not much of a difference?

serious problem if woofer's really close to the back of the box? The woofer won't move backwards, so that's not a problem - not sure how good it is acoustically though. M.S., got anything on this subject?

Like you said, the cone is what moves, not the motor. But as for what sounds best, couldn't say since I'm not a box builder by any means.

Let's just say it'll be fine as long as the box is within the recommended volume.
