There is no "best setup". But 2 SI mag 15's and a sundown amp can be had for $1500 and that would be incredible. Can't get a better daily SQL setup than that.

Put aside $400-500 for HO alternator, ya can't run that much power without it.

What kind of car do you have? What type music do you listen too? Do you have upgraded battery?

In SQ they do, but SPL it is close, I think the 3500 takes it, but not by much.

3500s are louder then the MAG i ran both off the same power and the DD was louder noticably, but the MAG still pounds

^^^ I wouldn't fully agree with you. If you are using a lot of power the DD's would be louder. Off of 600rms each, my money would be on the mags. The mags hit full potential at aroun 1000rms, but after that they don't get any louder. The 3500's get loud off of 1000rms but keep getting louder with more power.

Also, the mags are better SQL drivers. The DD's like you said do get loud overall, but for a daily setup the mags would probably be a better choice.

Either way though, they are both very nice drivers. If you want a more musical sub go with the mags, if you want a little more output, and are willing to sacrifice some SQ go with the DD's. But either way they are both around the same price, and both are great subs.
