Regardless of how accurate they are, who wants to know the voltage at their HU, lol. Voltage at the amplifiers is what matters.

The voltage at the HU will be the same as at the amplifier.

Besides maybe a .01 volt loss.......(all the extra wire it has to travel through..... resistance....blah blah.... Voltage at HU is just as good unless your look at #'s..... and getting desperate for power..

It's always a better idea to read voltage at the amplifier. This way if there's a break in the line you'll know your amp isn't getting full power.Someone on here had a problem with their power and had they listened to this in the first place they would have known they had their power wire from the front to the back batt disconnected.

I have heard that the only way they are accurate is if you run a direct power from the battery and a new ground. I also heard that the refresh rate on the headunit is ungodly slow.

" The voltage at the HU will be the same as at the amplifier. "

Nope. The amplifiers are powered with long cables. The longer the cables, the more resistance there is. More resistance = more voltage loss. The difference is noticeable right after the bass hits, the voltage will drop lower at the amplifier than at the battery.

If the voltage is dropping that much at the amp then you need to add a second battery which would end up being next to the amp anyways. Polo..
