change the volume to a level you are comfortable with,while that level is still listed on the screen push in and hold the volume button(the one you would normally push to bring up the audio options) until you hear two beeps. now it should start at that level when you start the car
i tried this but my volume is always on 15 when i open the unit. i did this when a dvd played and the level is listed on the screen. i push and hold the audio button(button 1 where audio is write on top) but the level disaper before i ear the bip.
