hey guys, i'm creating this post to see what do you guys think about my next setup. Could you please tell how many Dbs this thing can reach?According to power, box and charging system.I know it's an idea cuz you really can't tell....

1-1200w rms amp at 1 ohm
2- Two pioneer TS 306 DVC (800w rms) 12 inches
3-Ported box tuned to 33 Hz 4 cuFt probably.
4- 130A alternator
5- 4AWG possibly upgrading to 2 AWG
6- Yellow top coming soon.

My goal is to reach at least 130Dbs or more. Do you guys think i can reach at least 130 Dbs. Doesn't matter if it's bassrace or burps.

thanks and please post a number.

Upgrade to (2)Pioneer Premier TS-W3004SPL and you will be more than happy. Into the 140's. Maybe upgrade amp to 1500 watt and that will do. JMO

I have (2) TS-W3004SPL's in a ported 3.38 cu. ft. enclusure (subs and port facing back) running off a (single) Hifonics BX1500D at 1 ohm and hit 144 SPL on an EPIC-160 SPL meter (at center council under the dash).

Just curious, if all you want is SPL, why is the port tuned to 33Hz?
You should find out what frequency sounds the loudest in your truck. Then tune it to that and you'll have max SPL.
If you have test tones, do one ranging from 300Hz to 20Hz. You'll be surprised with the result.

I havnt done a side-by-side comparison, but our shop carries PG and the RDs's are nothing short of amazing!

We price them at $159 and I actually like the better than the JL w6v2 (flame me, go on, i dare you :-))

The 12's are an amazing <$200 sub. (But the 10's could prolly benefit from alil stiffer suspension)

Those lil RSd's will sneek up on you...i love em :-)

Isaac, i wanna hit those numbers cuz is a simple goal and i don't need to sacrifice SQ. I know is easy to tune it higher and i'll get more Dbs. But this is a daily installation. Something to hear all kind of music.

I just want to be decently loud (130Dbs range) and play with good Sq with a low budget lol!

That shoud be a decent sounding setup for daily driving. My friend has a similar one with stock alt and battery with 600W and 2 CVRs. Great SQ and gets plenty loud. Yours should be a bit louder with a port and more power.

i'm going to use two 3" round ports. I think i'll have to change volume cuz my trunk is small, but after some numbers let's see how i can deal with it.

My alt is not going to be stock, cuz my stock alt is 80A and i'll change it for 130A one.

Thanks

O I C now

well if space sux then do 2cuft\ sub after displacement

i would say use (4) 3" aeros would still get loud with decent SQ
since (4) 4" may be too much IMO & (3) 4" aeros would look kinda weird

u can also tune 34hz if u want since when u set ur SS filter to 33hz or so u will still get good lows ......

Eh,I would never go by what "sounds" the loudest.I'd use a Termlab and get a real idea.
