Well, the shop i work at is a pawnshop/audio shop....so we take stuff in on pawn and buy all the time. There is a local shop (name will not be mentioned) that has an "expert box cutter"...we get stuff on pawn that he built very now and then.

I just though i would show yall one of these "expert built custom ported boxes" :-)


I measured it and its 2cuft tuned to 35-36hz. Enjoy:

In conclusion...

CVX 12 + kx1200.1 + dis-box = lotsafukinport noise

(6.125 sqin of port per cuft...lmao)

We get boxes like this all the time, the sad thing is...this guy is the ONLY other box builder in Monroe!!!

Don't get me wrong his boxes are build strong and sound good at low volume, but at just slightly high volume they sound like a dam whistle.

I think I'm gonna build a 1/4-wave box for an MTX 7510 or PG Radial 10" and put it on our sound wall...just for sh1ts-n-giggles.
