its an isobaric box... so they look like this...

You flip the top subs out of phase so they move with the bottom subs. I did this so i could cut my box size in half and so I would get a better line curve for low bass. You guys should hear from 30-35hz with this box, its unreal.

Its much more complicated to make than just a normal box, but it wasnt too bad. the hardest part was making sure that the subs wouldnt touch eachother on full excursion...that would have been a bad thing. i havent really turned them up much yet because i dont have the EQ in, i have the gain on 3/8ths and the bass boost on 0 and its still very loud. so far i like it more than the last box because it kills on the low notes, and it saved alot of room.

jordan ive never heard a 3500 so i couldnt tell you. its not as nice as an Fi Q in my opinion, the subs are very sq oriented however which some people like. i cant say that ive heard 4 15inch Qs before but im sure you could get them as loud/louder than the EDs.

monkeyman, hopefully this explains it a little better...

well what happens is u put one outta phase, so when let's say sub 1 moves left, sub2 to moves left aswell, so they move in unison, so when one is pushing the other is pulling sorta deal, it's a very effective way to have multiple subs with limited space.

With Isobarik setups, say your using 2 instead of 4 like Jake, would they both be powered or just 1?

Jake, I absolutely love that setup.

Get the EQ installed so you can start a brag session :-)
