MT and BTL power question

i was told by re that the mt really dont need that much power to bump why do the btl need so much power if their just about the same woofer

Of course it doesn't NEED it..... a sub will produce sound with 1 watt

with SPL oriented subs, the more power you can throw at them, the louder the result usually.
MT, BTL, Solo X, all fit this bill if you're into SPL competitions, and have a big box and a lot of money for huge amps

neither those subs will need too much power.... botch of them will do with same power. the thign tis that those can take alot of power

scott told me he doesnt recommend people using 4000watts for the btl but he says he nows alot of people are and havent had problems and they can handle that
