might win the SQ there.... and the R 12's got the loudness\SPL... but it depends alot on the install to.... you can prolly make the 15 better... but you should get a BL from what i hear it excels the Q in both SQ and SPL...

i wouldnt know, ask scott from Fi

I would recommend the Q

I can give you the box design if you want to build it, its very easy, all 1/4 and 1/2inch cuts, nothing crazy

What kind of car do u have? and what will you power it with?

Acura Legend, the subs will be in an enclosed trunk, the seats dont fold down, it will most likely be powered by a kx1200.1. Also i just installed my type R's the other day in my newly build box. I have carpet for it, so i might carpet it and then sell those and see if i can get more out of it that i put in it.

no video camera, and the amp i have now thats powering it is a kicker zx450.2. It still bumps, but its on ebay now, as soon as it sells i have the kx1200.1 on order, ill see how the R's sound once I get the amp and hopefully borrow a video recorder. Im just wondering if there will be more bump with the 1x 15" Fi sub than with 2x 12" Type R's.

All depends on your box

I think you'll be more happy with the Q

I've heard 2 Type R's, I think my Q is WAY BETTER personally

It could go either way in terms of loudness, but SQ the Fi Q wins hands down

The Q gets loud while sounding clean.. most of the reason right there

Fi Q is great for a daily driver

hmm what subs i would get are the

Fi Q 15"

RE Audio SX15

TC Sounds 15" TC-3000

I chose the Fi Q myself because of the quality/performance for the best price

I chose the Elemental Designs NINe.1 for quality/performance/5 yr warranty

i never heard of them either.. i chose them from advice

if you ever have a problem you call them up and they fix your problem immediatley

UPS scratched my amps and they sent out 2 replacements ASAP

wenever i had a problem they always had a great solution, advice or answer

you cant beat the 5 year warranty, they are Solid, Underated power amps (put out more power than stated)

agreed with that ...

nothing but solid power from those amps ... make sure ur charging system is upgraded tho or else u wont get the full effect as stated

i did 140.1 with that sub. .. its capable of great response

type r;s in a rigth install will murder a fi Q... but tyeha the fi q will rule the low end... but hey if u get two type r's and get a kick @ss box that tends to be more of a sq box than spl... the type r's will catch up with the sq while gettin louder than the fi Q

i have 2 type r's in a ported box that measures 36 x 16 x 14 there are 2 ports, one on each side measuring 2.5 inches wide each, and they are in separate chambers. Will the R's in a box like that still murder a fi Q? (Given your using the same amp for both)

if u want creazy loudness the most u can do its 30 if u want to go to the extreme 28hz but it will be worthless.... try to make the box as big as possible.... bigger the box wider the low end

I decided weather getting a Q or a BL in the first place.. like chauncey said the BL has ALMOST as much SQ as the Q and gets louder

Now personally I like excursion and the Q blows it away 27mm one way while the BL has 21mm

I wanted to lean more towards SQ so I chose the Q, but if you saw my videos (bad rattling, i didnt sound deaden the car yet) you know the 15" Q gets LOUD
