Hey...can a good set of components take 230watts to each sppeaker, or is that way too much. I know people always get a new amp for them, but I am not sure the size. My definition of "good" would be like a $300-400 pair. Thanks for the help.

i dont really understand...

230 watts to the midbass speakers and 230 watts to each of the tweeters? or what?

either way, the new pioneer component sets are awesome. a friend replaced thousands of dollars worth of focal components with the new pioneer ones and cant tell a difference. and they are reasonably priced for a good component set...

ok, i thought that was what you mean, but wasnt sure haha...

depending on the set, they may take 230... you can go easy on the gain also...

Yeah that is true. I was looking at the Memphis Belle amp that puts out 1000x1 @ 1 and like 230x2 @ 2 or 85x4 @ 2. I just thought that was really impressive...
