Only in your amplifiers :-) Oooh and I know someone who's a Usaci WF Champ and uses a capacitor :-)

And no, that amp should be able to run on a stock electrical system. But the only way to tell is to try it. If your voltage drops below 12 while playing the system, then you need an HO alternator.

Voltage drop from ~14.4 to ~12.5 is normal and there's nothing you can do about it. It will happen even with an HO alt. If your voltage is dropping below 12, then you do need an HO alt. Also, dashboard voltmeters are not accurate, you need to use a DMM when measuring voltage.

My voltage never drops to 12.5 :-)
