hooked up wires to power, ground, and remote....amp powers on. thats as far as I can get right now. I figured I don't need a full amp kit, just enough wire to run the power and ground, a LOC, an inline fuse, and a subsonic filter.

1>since I have a 300watt amp,but will be upgrading to 425watts later, what guage do I need...I figure 6guage.
2>How much does the wire cost, and should I be able to get it at a local sound shop?
3>The amp uses 2-25 watt fuses, what size inline fuse should I use?
4>LOC(Line output converter)..no question here, I've hooked one of these up before, have to get one at the local sound shop.
5>Subsonic filter>gonna get that from Canaan/Marshall, but wondering...where do I install it...On the + wire between the amp and the subs?

Guess thats about it, thanks for any answers.

well I don't think 4ga is necessary, I think 8 would be fine, but was gonna use 6 to make sure.

didn't figure it would be more than that, guess I will call tomorrow and see

anyone else...is he right, add both fuses so a 50 on the inline?

LOC, doesnt matter, wasnt a question

subsonic filter....anyone?

1. yea, just get 4awg
2. it can easily cost over $20 for quality wire
3. www.bcae1.com/fuses - meaning 120A fuse, not
50A
4. why do you need it?
5. doesn't your amp already have one?

just to answer your answer your answers Oleg

1>wouldnt 6 be enough, but I guess 4 won't hurt anything
2>Yeah, I'll have to call the local audio shops and see.
3>Just wondering, I see on bcae where they say to use 125A fuse for 4guage, thats just to protect the wire right, the fuses on the amp protect it.
4>I am using the stock HU and it doesnt have RCA's so I have to connect to the rear speaker wires.
5>I am using a 2channel amp as a temporary amp until I get the mono one which does have a subsonic filter. The 2 channel amp does not, so where do I put the filter I am getting?

btw, just looked at crutchfield.com,

http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/learningcenter/car/amplifiers_faq.html# 4

1<says to go with 4GA so thats what I'll use, since I'll be upgrading later

3>the inline fuse does not have to be so big, just has to be equal to the fuses on the amp...so 50 would be right.

it doesn't have to be that big, but there is no reason for it to be that small. I'm not sure about wiring the filter, maybe someone else knows more about this?..
