I was looking at this Pioneer TS-W307D2 1200 watt at 2 ohms. What is better 2 ohms or 4 ohms?

I heard Pioneer makes decent stuff and this is pretty powerful. I don't have too much money, about 250 for subs and 300 for amp.

shut up with all the l7 suggestions! there crap.

what exactly are you looking for, a pair/single 12"s, 10"s? for that budget i'd look at a fi q or bl and get any amp you can afford that'll do 1000-1500wrms, though that might require you to upgrade your charging system.

i was looking at pair of 10's that would be able to give me at least 2000 peak watts. I am just starting out so i don't want anything too expensive, i just want to have a decent system that can have big thump.

first off...you need to be looking at the RMS on speakers and amps...peak means nothing

So? You can get a Fi BL for that, and it will squash an L7.
