The amp it would be getting power from is a Hifonics Zeus 600 watt 2 channel amp. 600 x 1 300 x 2 |

Post Number: 3946 Registered: Feb-06 | try to save more. or some subs that'll work with 600w: fi ssd dd 2512, 1512 (might get a pair of these for $300) ss rl-p si bm sure there's more but that's a quick list. in all honesty for $300 for subs it'll be hard to beat a pair of l5's in just spl. will definately beat them in every other way though. i'd look into either saving more or look at something on the list i gave you. |

It puts out decent SPL for the price, but lacks any form of SQ. The L7 is a step up from that sub, and the Solo X is Kicker's competition level "SPL targeted" sub. The RE SX is probably about on par with the L7, and both performance and cost will reflect this. If you want an RE sub to pit against a SoloX, look at the BT line, which is RE's competition level SPL sub. I wouldn't compare an L5 with an Fi Q though. It's apples and orangutans. The former as I said is an entry level sub, and the latter is a higher end SQ sub. |

Post Number: 3956 Registered: Feb-06 | l5s are worse than the comps. simply due to the high return rate due to the square design. leads to alot of tears at the corners due to the added stress points. round subs ftw!! and why would you want to stick with kicker, they're subs aren't all that, you could do alot better. but if for some reason you must support your local cc and be like every other uninformed high schooler and buy kicker than the cvx is the only sub i'd consider. the solo x, seriously doubt you have the power/money to run one properly. |
