hi folks, ive just installed a boss ba2900 amp to drive a 12" sub which is bridged to use the 4 channels at 1000watts.my problem is the amp gets extremely hot and the red protection light comes on and now the 60amp fuse located near the car battery has blown! ive checked all the wiring and its as per instructions from the manual.the amp is installed in the boot with 8ga cable for power and 0.5m of the same for the earth, the sub is wired with 16ga cable and the turn on wire is 20ga.does anyone have a suggestion as to why the fuse has blown and how to solve the problem??

first off, your power cable is way to small, go with 2 guage or maybe even 1/0 guage.
Try to do something about the tmeperature rising on your amp such as a push fan and a pull fan each located at the other side of the enclosure if enclosed.

All you need is 4 gauge for that amp.
