ok so i just got my first car and i upgraded the speakers and all that good stuff. But i really want to get a pair of subs to put in my trunk but i have one question. Do i have to get an amp??? i know it may seem like a stupid question but im only 16 and i have no idea what im talking about. So if you can please help me and give me some hints as to what i need to do and buy. i dont need the best out there and im not mr money bags either.
well if you want to run all four speakers as well as the subs then the answer is yes, you do need an amp. i'm guessing you've bought an aftermarket head unit? for some budget subs i would look at maybe audiobahn. those were my first subs, made more for looks than quality, but they are decent if you want to add bass and are on a budget. as far as an amp you might wanna look into hifonics
