Well ummm... without a doubt in the top three or four of sub companies, some would say #1. Something for everyone in their lines but the prices are getting ridiculous after the sale/merger. And alot of companies are copying their basic designs, and making very nice drivers for much cheaper.

Honestly you will have a very hard time blowing them, so if you go with a DD sub, chances are you will never have to buy another sub again, unless you want louder than you first wanted.

They are #1 for build quality.
They are very flexible for SQ/SPL applications.
Sound incredible in SQL applications.
Can take as little or as much power as you want(depending on model, of course, but very flexible)

If you believe in doing it right the first time, go with DD.

I haven't really heard much about atomic other than they can take ridiculous amounts of power, and put up quite decent numbers...

What about their SQ?

I think Atomic/RD audio comes a close 2nd in terms of build quality...
