Burning motor

So the back in the learning stages of car audio, I had my gain set too high and was probably clipping my Type-Rs. They eventually stopped working and it smelling like a burning motor and now the cone on one doesnt move and the other cone makes a crunching noise. Is there any way to fix this problem or is it pretty much done for?

It's not the motor, its the Voice Coil.
They both received clipped signals which burnt the wire(voice coil).
Yes, you can get the reconed.
Is it worth it? No

Much better route to get new subs, and careful with the gain this time :-)

what he said. especially with a new type R only costing about $100.
you'd pay at least half that per sub reconing them.
