Whats Clipping a Subwoofer

ok i c alot of people talking about clipping a sub. is that bad? how do i no? how to prevent it?

well how do i no if im clipping it or not i mean the people at cc tuned it so i just listen to my music

If professionals tuned it then it should be fine.... oh wait, circuit shitty.


In that case just make sure your gain is set properly.



Clipping is what happens when you overdrive your amplifier due to the gain being set to high. When your amp clips, it will send DC current (a square wave) to your speakers instead of AC current (a sine wave). Over time, this will cause your speakers voice coil to overheat and burn up.
