I'm debating on whether or not to pick up a JL Audio 300/4 amp to power my 4 Infinity 6802CF door speakers. What do you guys think about this combination? Will it work better than the Rockford Fosgate 300X I have powering them now?

The JL 300/4 puts out more than those speakers can handle, especially since it really puts out closer to 90W RMS per channel, those speakers only take 60. I'd save your money, and upgrade those 6x8's to a 6.5" component set in the front, then you could get a two channel amp for that, and put the 300X on subs or even bridge it to run the components if you get a set that can handle 150W continuous. If you like Infinity, you could get Kappa Perfects for around 200, then with the other 200-250 that you'd spend on a JL 300/4 you could get a nice 2 channel that puts out 100W RMS x2, a JBL 180.2 puts out 90W RMS x2 and is 120 in the right places, and you still have about 100 to spend on whatever. Trust me, it will sound better to have the power up front on a good clean component set than on 4 coaxials.

I totally agree with the above.
the 300/4 is too much for those references.
get kappa or kappa perfects.. as they are far far better speakers.. you'll be happy with the upgrade.

then maybe look at the bigger amp.
