Ok I have 2 12" Alpine Type R's and an MTX502 500 watt amp. Wut would be the best way to wire the subs and amp to get the best sound out of them??? Wut size speaker wire should i use?? Should i bridge my amp/subs??? The subs are dual 4ohms.

I would say between 7 and 4 gauge wire. 4 is a bit big though. You cant bridge subs- thats for AMPs. I would wire them in par not series.

its 2 channel, bridge the amp and run the wires in series-parallel to get a 4 ohm load to the amp. 12 gauge speaker wire is fine. 4 gauge power and ground for the amp.

right now i have them wired at 2ohms going to each channel wouldnt that be the same as me wiring them in parallel and bridging the amp?? Also Im thinking about getting a new amp and i like Alpine so i was thinking about the mrd-m1000 or the mrd-m500 wut amp would be better? Would the mrd-m1000 be to powerfull?
