Would edead-ing my Cherokee's lift gate weigh it down so much that it wouldnt stay open anymore. It's on the hydraulic lift things (nothing special or custom, im just calling em hydraulic). Anyone think it might weigh it down too much. Other cherokee owners???
I deadened my old Honda sedan's trunk with edead and it weighed it down a lot. I would say about 10-20 pounds. It did not have that hydraulic thing you are talking about, and it did not stay open on its own anymore. I really think that it will still stay open if you deadened it. Why not open it, then put some weight on top of the gate and see if it goes anywhere?
