Amp on each voice coil???

if mah sub is dual voice coil 2 ohm that means each coil is 2 ohm? its a DD 3512 n' im tryin to give it 1500. i have one zx750 right now. my question is can i put one zx750 on each coil? also wat would be the advantages or disadvatages of me doin this or should i just upgrade to the zx1500??????

You can set things up like that, with the 2 amps..the disadvantage of that is twice the install, just get 1 big amp.

it is fine to run 2, easier to run 1 though. If you do run 2 then you need to match the gains on each coil using a DMM or else your coils will be recieving different amounts of power which can hurt your sub.

im just tryin to save some money so wat ampo would u recommend. no hifonics or anything like that. i was thiknin maybe an ed nine? has to be capable of atleast 1300 watts thank u

they are not stable at 1 ohm. I would do the 2 zx 750's, or a old kx1200.1

just find an amp that's mono and 1-ohm stable.
bridge the coils in parallel for a 1-ohm load, and wire the sub right to the amp.
bam.
done.
