ok, how many db's does it take to set off car alarms...and what hz too.

Just wondering if I'll be able to do it with my 8's once I get them fully powered.....maybe with like a 35hz tone or something.

Doesn't it depend on sensitivity?

Ha I remember the other day at school lightning struck the school (I was there and saw it) and it blew up the transformer and shut down power to the school. Anyway...a bunch of car alarms were going off in the parking lot. That was sweet.

Like Andre said, if someone has their sensitivity set high, blowing leaves can set one off. Mine used to go off in a good rain.

it takes exactly 132.8 dbz at 34hz to set off any car alarm... :-)

it depends on the different sensitivities on the alarms.

it is almost impossible to set my alarm off with a stereo but it will chirp like crazy. mine has 2 sensitivity settings and the one that sets my alarm off is 15-20%.

ok, so supposing I WILL be able to hit mid 130's (135) with my subs...IF I play a 34hz tone, then I should be able to do it sometimes, right?

A good bassy song and a parking garage does wonders... It's a silly thing to do, though.

A friend of mine has two Kicker Comp 10"s. He put his truck next to a surburban and set the alarm off on it several times just by playing some tracks off of his cd. It's not hard.
