I have a 98 Explorer that needs new speakers. I like bass but don't have much money cuz I'm 16 so don't want to buy a amp, woofer and stuff. are there any 6x8 door speakers that would give me more bass? thank you
If you're looking for pounding bass, seeking it through the door speakers isn't a good solution in the short term or long term. In higher quality setups, for example, the door speakers are mostly used for midrange and some lowrange (woofers), but nothing that will really give that great of bass.
Best suggestion? Be patient, save up some money, and get an amp and sub, however trashy they might be. You can certainly purchase a powered infinity basslink sub for 100-200$.
Ya, you need to save up some money then buy a system. If you don't want to wait, you could buy a cheap pair of subs for about the same price as some new speakers and then wire them up to your HU as regular speakers and get some bass out of them. I have 2 8" Rockford Fosgate subs that I could sell to you for cheap.
