I have my ssd fully loaded in a ported box i made for a eclipse sw7200. 1.8-1.9 cu ft tuned at 32 hz. since the ssd has more xmax and diplacement it Fed up the cu ft and tuning.I got the plans from subwoofer tools. I think it could get louder, Well, im probably gonna get logan or canaan to build me a box. what size should it be to make it louder than a fi q 12 in a ported.
My friend has a fi q 12 in a ported box about 2.0 tuned to 32 hz, but not sure or exact measurements after displacement. powerd by a cheap lanzer 1000 watts amp. he has a scion tc and it gets loud.
I have a 4 door sedan and have my box in my trunk. sub faced out, port faced out. loud but not louder then his. im powering my sub with a hifonics bx1500d, so more than enough power for the subs.
how can i make mine louder than his? is it even possible? I want decent lows still and quality. how many cubic ft and what shold it be tuned to?
