ok so i just hooked up my subs and amp and if i turn the bass up any louder than ten notches on my stock head unit it makes my subs cut out and about 5 seconds later they start bumpin again which if i turn the bass down than it wont do that. It should be hitting a lot harder than it is. any suggestions? also i have 4 guage wire.

You have to make sure you have scraped all of the paint off of the metal where you attached your ground wire.

And did you really have to make 4 identical threads?
