ok im putting a 15" mtx thunder5500 dvc subwoofer in my girlfriends explorer along with her 2 12" mtx thunder5500's. my question is what amp should i run this 15" with. the sub is 300 watts rms and 600 watts peak... id like to stick with mtx so if ne one has ne suggestions please help out the new guy!!!
i wouldent mix sizes. unless you set it up exactly perfect its gonna sound like sh.it. but if so i have an MTX TC3002. briged to my JL 12W3. it pounds for one sub. hits harder than all my friends that have 2 12s. dont know how much of its the sub or the amp but the amp is great. and its 300 rms 900 max. max power is worthless. rms is what the amp puts out. so look at those numbers.
