You have to come by and let me hear them when you do." Heres a couple of things I can do with em just hooked up to the HU... Shake my rearview mirror a lot...see everything in it moving up and down. Lean back in my seat and feel the vibrations, like a massage chair..lol Put change on the rear spoiler and have it move around...not jump up and down, but vibrate all around the spoiler. I am one happy dude....I love my bass, Now I want my amp. Oh, and one more thing...I had downloaded DJBillyE>Beats 4 My Van when i listened to it with just my stock system, it sounded like crap...bass didn't seem to do anything... but now, I run it throught the subs and WOW! I think it hits the best of anything. gonna see if Canaan can meter these babies playing just like they are, just to see what they hit without the amp...then redo it when i get the amp |

Gold Member Username: Wolfman1966WEST MONROE , LOUISIANA USA Post Number: 2169 Registered: Jan-06 | Resonant Engineering RE8's 1-had never been played the other only one burp at 150watts...so they're like brand new Esai...well I got them from Canaan and he gave me a damn good deal...they're an older model I think...but he sold them and the box to me for $175, kinda like giving me the box free since the new RE8's run about $100 each. kinda hard to rate them right now because, 1>I dont have an amp hooked up to them, only the HU. 2>They're only the 2nd set of subs I've ever owned and the first set was CRAP....Alphasonik Q-Reference series 10's with a 200 watt amp I will say this however, with only the head unit hooked up to them, so figure 20 watts at the most...They are already louder than my old system and when I play the DJBillyE song, the pressure hurts my ears, especially with the windows rolled down slightly. Oh, and the best sound out of them at the moment is a 35-36hz tone... I will be able to give a better opinion once I get the amp, and put full power to them |
