Burr Brown is a company that makes some of the best DAC's (digital to analog converter) in the business. A quality DAC will give you more accurate playback with less jitter and conversion errors.
Wasn't aware that L-R made DAC's. They are known for their filters that are used in a high percentage of crossovers, either outboard or built into a HU.
