the questions is should i try to find some 6 1/2" speakers for midbass to put it the back shelf? im getting new 5.25in front components (momo) and im not sure if i want the back empty or with just midbass.
if i do get midbass, anyone know any speakers like the kicker ones that are specifically for midbass that are 6 1/2"? The price I want to spend is about $100 and the rms power will be about 75-100. I was also thinking about getting a component set and not hooking up the tweets.
If you're looking for a midbass speaker get a CDT M6. I wouldn't put anything in the rear though.
The higher a frequency is, the more directional it is. You don't want any speakers playing higher than 80-100 hz behind you. You want the sound to seem like it is in front of you, like a concert. With subs, it is ok to put them anywhere, since they only play low frequencies which are non-directional.
