200 amp alternator for 175$

yep i went to a local alternator shop today curious as to whether they make HO alts and they did and he gave me a quote of 150-175 for a 200 amp alt....im not sure as how the build quality is but its the best alternator shop in my city, real good reputation.

if it's a good quality alt. i'd say your lucky as hel_l. for that price why not try to get the biggest your car can fit?

idk but isnt there a machine u can put on the alternator to test its strength or amps or w/e u wanna call it?

sounds good i know alot of places, that do 1$ per amp if you bring them a stock alt. some will only do large case alts though. local shops are nice because you can go yell at them face to face if you have a problem and dont have to ship it for repair

^ dont know... maybe if you take it to autozone they have thing to test stuff there you can use for free or cheap, but ifhe is from your town and a well known shop. IMO buy it. ask for warranty...

even if its not 200 amps a factory replacement 90 amp is 152 from autozone lol
