Both are coming on wednesday. Is this a good combo? The Fi ssd is a 12 incher dual 2 ohm with flatwind coil. Im going to put it in a ported box i had my eclipse 7200 in, a 1.9-2.0 cu ft slotted ported tuned to 32 hz.
I heard the ssd could take about 1000-1200 watts no problem with the flatwind upgrade. And the hifonics amp Runs 1500 watts at 1 ohm but people say it only puts out 1250-1300 or even less. So am I cool with this setup?
I was gonna go with a TC 9 12 inch sub , but i was fed up with aluminum cones since my 5 week eclipse sub f'ed up on me.
if you have the chargin system that hifonics could go 1400 watts and that's prolly not too smart running almost double power... shoulda gone with bxi1206
its un telling... when your amp gets in, hook it up and tune it and all...if your lights dim then send it back or sell it and get the bxi1206D if your on a budget, or look on forums or ebay for a massive audio p1000.1
agrred i got a 15inch SSd iwth a flatwind it sure doesnt give it 1200 watts im runnin a hifonics 1206D thats what u should have done the 1500 mightb e too much good luck
daym. I didnt know exactly what sub I was gonna run till after I bought the amp off ebay. I was looking at the 1260D also. And a bx1205D, and bx1000d. I read reviews on the 1500D and everyone said it was overrated by alot. Some said it only gave 1000-1200rms at 1 ohm. or I should of bought a dual 1 ohm and wire it series for 2 ohm load of 1000watts on the 1500D.
